The Hafler Trio - Cleave: 9 Great Openings ERA2017 - Nextera
CD
Price: $18.00
|
The Hafler Trio's brand new studio album named "Cleave: 9 Great Openings" being released as the First Part of the Trilogy. The Second Part - "No Man Put Asunder: 7 Fruitful and Seamless Unions" - was released in spring 2003 on Die Stadt and the Third Part - "No More Twain, Of One Flesh: 11 Unequivocal Obsecrations" - was released in the Autumn 2003 on Nextera. CD album is packed in a beautiful "deluxe" embossed paper wallet with special transparent wraparound and a 16-page booklet!
Cleave: 9 Great Openings is the first new CD release by H3O since 'Hljóðmynd' released in 2000 on Die Stadt (though the material on this was already recorded in 1995). Cleave: 9 Great Openings is a 62 minutes piece which slowly changes, with a very wide sound, low, and very resonant.
It's *almost* ambient or 'meditative music' with very special atmosphere, and a few surprises - because maybe...it isn't!
Source material for this album was recorded in 1999 for Andrew Mark McKenzie's friends wedding ceremony in Nepal! We are sure that many fans eagerly await this new work by Andrew Mark McKenzie which is truly exceptional! This set of recordings shows that there's life in the old dog yet and it isn't quite buried...!
The audio on this CD is presented here as one continuous track composed as 9 separate sections.
Packaging: Limited edition of 2017 CD's packed in a "deluxe" embossed paper wallet (5 3/4" x 6.5") with special transparent wraparound and a 16-page booklet! Release Date: 2002 Running Time: 62:15
