Zonk't vs Electronicat - Coccyx SOP003 - Sound On Probation
Vinyl - 12"
Price: $12.00
|
Very nice split between the well known Electronicat (dirty, distorted and tasty as ever) and Zonk't, presenting a strong, heavy catchy and head nod-inducing track. "Coccyx" is a very interesting release which somehow presents two was of dealing with massive bass and mid-tempo beats (in a very digital way for Zonk't, and down and dirty for Electronicat). Both acts succeed in their own way, which results in a very enjoyable and massive 12".
Packaging: 12" Vinyl LP in full-color sleeve
Release Date: 2001

Pylône is one of the several side projects of
Laurent Perrier - who runs the Sound On Probation label from France. Glitchy,
staticy and deep! |

The five long tracks of Grounded Hands create a disturbing sound canvas made by micro variations of crackling sounds with the add of low frequencies sub-sounds. |

| Laurent Perrier - As far As |
| Created for Alban Richard’s choreographic show of the same name, “As far As” - slightly modified for its release on CD - is a sound structure built on classical music samples, off beat loops, collages, quotations. |

Minimum movements and drowning in frequencies. It's like a

| Zonk't - Purr |
All tracks on Purr have originally been composed for choreography. Laurent Perrier, the mastermind behind Zonk’t, has reconstructed the tracks for his third release to make it a coherent album to listen to. And he definitely succeeded in that. |
