Chris Connelly has a wife, two small children, a demanding job managing Reckless Records in Bucktown, and, at any given moment, seemingly half a dozen artistic projects underway. This month alone, he released an ambitious solo album (his 12th), How This Ends, the debut from his new band The High Confessions, Turning Lead Into Gold With The High Confessions, and his first novel, Ed Royal.

How This Ends is the 12th solo album by Chris Connelly, and it is certainly the most extreme. Picking up from where 2008's Forgiveness & Exile tailed off. In some ways, this is an extension of that, where Chris uses an ensemble cast of musicians, orators and non-musicians to produce something that vacillates between an almost serenely melancholic paradise, and a terrifying hellish vortex of noise. All Rites Reversed is presented as a full length CD plus a DVD with 45 minutes of high definition footage containing several music videos shot in Morocco with alternate versions of the songs. Neville Harson was a founding member of Mandible Chatter. Don Poe was the noisiest member of Deathpile. The Light Of June Drowned Flowers In Your Mouth marks the first vinyl release by Dead Voices On Air. The album is dedicated to the International Brigades who fought in the Spanish Civil War. Richard and Mark have been friends for nearly 40 years and have collaborated together episodically. One such episode took place in London in 1992, shortly before Spybey moved to Canada. The Setland L.P. features a number of songs written by Sanderson dating back as far as 1978.
